Vantaggi

The pay is decent (thus the 3 stars) -- I think I'm getting paid as much as or better than my peers in the industry (exclude Big 5 consultants who "specialize" in healthcare). Fairly flexible work-from-home culture (up to 40% of the workforce works from home). Appears that there are lots of opportunities for lower level jobs, especially in the call centers, claims, service operations-type roles.

Svantaggi

The corporate landscape is dotted with many fiefdoms, and navigating the politics is like strolling through a densely packed minefield. Do NOT make any gestures that you're unhappy. And, forget trying to get promoted -- this is an organization where the letters "V and P" actually mean something (vs. a Bank), and the path to Staff VP or VP is steep and rarely traveled. Do NOT work too hard -- everyone makes their incentive compensation goal, regardless of how little you work or how little your value contribution is to the organization. Executive management has an "old school" mindset, "You should be happy you have a job!"

Svantaggi

Pay rate never really goes up. Prefer to promote inexperience outsiders than from within. Low pay At the whim of Manager Favoritism Political Pretentious Metrics based of friendship with Management Hard to move up of you don’t suck up to a Manager or be political or be part of their click and group. QIP is also at the whim of the manager. Faulty metrics where you are blamed for FCR failures even when you fixed the issue on your first call and but because the member called in multiple times to other associates who didn’t help. Or do their job, they blame you for first call resolution when you never talked to the member till you resolved it. This is really messed up and it affects your QIP.
