We don't know what happened in your case, but this is not a common occurrence and we are certain that any misunderstanding regarding your tax issues could have easily been resolved by our Payroll if you had contacted them. In addition, HMRC will always refund any overpaid taxes if this is truly the case. We suggest you contact them too.
