the experience at Emerald depends on which department and which senior leader you work for. While I enjoy my team, there are departments at Emerald which I would not recommend a friend to work in. Pay has gotten substantially better over the years because they started listening to employees and benefits have been great as well without added cost which I appreciate

Emerald used to have a flexible remote work environment which is now changing and people are being asked to come back in the office and sit on zoom calls instead of being able to work from home on zoom calls the in person office culture they are trying to build is impossible when you have clients and teammates working all over the country and need to be on calls to speak to them all day long

-Depending on what team you're on, you get a lot of autonomy. (on the flip side, see con- if you're on the wrong team) -Good benefits -Fun events & Travel opportunities

-People getting laid off left and right all time. One minute you have a team mate and the next they are just gone. -Management is top heavy and operates like a fraternity -If you're on the wrong team every move is watched -Your job is NEVER safe -Imagine with the acquisition that was just announced by Apollo that the reason for layoffs was to become lean before transition. I would hedge bets that this will also continue to be a numbers game and positions are going to be uncertain -Sales plans are always ambiguous and there were even times where the plan wasn't out until several months into the year. Expected to sell over and above but didn't always have a sales plan to follow. It was always changing.
