- Workload is not equally distributed among different business units and individuals. There are lots of "managers" and "thought leaders" but not enough people that execute. This leads to burnout for the most dedicated and highest performing individuals. - Lots of prominent managers/team leads use being a startup as an excuse for poor organization, communication, and unwarranted chaos in the day-to-day. A company of this size, with this many people, and that moves this slowly is not a startup. - Enverus' strategy is inorganic growth through acquisitions and tons of overlapping roles and friction as a result. Legacy individuals with deep connections to management are prioritized and this causes morale to be low among some of the brightest and highest performing.
