Svantaggi
-Management structure means that when your team is overwhelmed, so are they. So there is limited to no support in times of crisis -Upper management does a poor job at honoring employee requests - from those as minimal to plant based milk being supplied to much more impactful policies such as WFH & COVID protocol -Customers not ready for implementation are given green light - causing significant issues and escalation -Reliance on internally developed tools means you are often using subpar options to avoid 3rd parties. -Ranking system often means that despite performing well, you can suffer receive lower raises and bonuses because you are not performing 'as well' as others. You will still receive the same additional responsibilities, though, as this is based on tenure. -Expectations for significant overtime with no compensation -You will be staffed early, and still have expectations to complete training envisioned for individuals working full time hours to complete it. You will then be penalized with loss of bonus if you fail to meet deadlines -Everyone is overstaffed, meaning new hires are left to largely manage projects entirely on their own - but without the ability to make decisions or escalate on their own. -Approaches issues with retention with a "everyone is replaceable" mentality. -Limited sufficient technical documentation as most documentation is outdated following decision to get rid of full time tech writers. -Pay fails to stay competitive following first year. Epic has not realized Madison's cost of living has significantly risen and offers from competitors overshadow Epic's. However, they still behave as though they pay the most and are surprised when individual's leave. -Pushes individuals with COVID exposures to return to work despite symptoms -Upper management has a negative outlook on diversity and equity efforts, and have been caught advocating against them.
