We are encouraged by what you have listed as “pros,” and hope that the inspiring team culture will gradually help you to feel more engaged. We acknowledge that our many performance metrics can be a lot to absorb and master in your first year. But if everyone on your team, including more tenured employees, is feeling confused, we hope you will speak up. Your Regional Manager, VP, and other corporate team members are here to remind you that Question Authority is one of our 10 Ways, and we would love to hear from you and to have an opportunity to Share the Knowledge. Perhaps the weekly Huddle meetings that you enjoy could be a great opportunity for your team to take a deeper dive into the performance metrics in an effort to broaden your understanding as a team. We would also like to emphasize the fact that we care more about the behaviors that drive the metrics than the numbers themselves. Developing great rapport-building and sales techniques is the best way to ensure that the metrics reflect your efforts. As for your advice, we agree completely, and we have actually formed an employee committee this year that is specifically working on employee recognition programs - stay tuned to hear about their initiatives!

Management loves to preach “teamwork” until something goes wrong, then suddenly it’s every employee for themselves. Very documentation-heavy culture where certain managers seem to enjoy writing people up more than actually developing talent. Communication is inconsistent, accountability is selective, and favoritism is hard to ignore. Commission structure is shockingly low for the workload and expectations. Leadership often presents itself as organized and supportive, but behind the scenes there’s a lot of blame-shifting, targeting of employees, and policy confusion — especially regarding employee housing and lease transitions. My own experience at the end of my employee lease felt retaliatory and left a very negative impression.
