Some management seems more concerned with day to day break routines than productivity and results. You can be easily overlooked and under valued of the manager doesn't look at you as a pal. The overall hiring and promotion practices stifle talent and hurt the company. You get a lot of overly content and unmotivated employees and weed out the possibility for improving the talent.
