Vantaggi

Healthcare. Colleagues. Nice Campus. Cafeteria.

Svantaggi

Terrible management. Historically the Secure Support team was the best team to work for in Support Services. Recently they placed an inexperienced person who has only gotten worse over time. We had a senior analyst on the team who she actively avoided and refused to come out of her office in his presence. While that former colleague was here, it was a running joke amongst the team. She would come out of the office and walk the other way around to exit. He would then move to the side she exited from and when she came back in, she would notice and take the opposite route. We figured after he left, she’d work up the courage to actually come out and well, lead. Unfortunately not the case. They pulled in a functional human to help support her transition and he does his best but there is only so much he can do. Overall, dysfunctional. Happy to be leaving soon!

Vantaggi

Esri pays your health insurance. A few extra holidays that other companies may not offer.

Svantaggi

-Below average pay for California. Already a struggle living out here due to cost of living. -Support services is a mess. We have to bend over backwards for customers always teetering on scope of support. Might as not even have those guidelines anymore if it's a constant battle for internal resources to back you. -Constant releases of software that breaks customer workflows. Too many bugs. Lack of QA. -Whats the point of middle management if all decisions have to come from higher ups that have no understanding of supports day by day. -Unwillingness to let senior employees work from home. And if you do work from home they hold it against you if you want to apply to an internal position. Almost like a thinly veiled threat. -Other teams feel the need to steam roll support sometimes, often leading to fragmented relationships. -Lastly there is way too much work and never enough people.
