Etsy is focused on deliver new experiences, improvements and fixes quickly and easily. I feel this give me the freedom to organize myself: my work, meetings, lunch and break times. Also I have the opportunity to feel the product as my own, since I am fully responsible of planning and launch the deliverables. It is a great opportunity to build a real product that you can see being used in the exact moment you pushed the change to production. When I say you own it, I mean it, you have to watch the metrics dashboard with attention, considering latency, possible errors and act quickly if need, of course all people here is really open to help you. Etsy is open to remote work which I find awesome. Salary and benefits are beyond desirable.

Written documentation is not a strong feature here, talking with other people is preferred. At the beginning I felt I little lost on what I had to do, I did not feel comfortable to owner a little piece of the system, so you have to dedicate a little more than other positions and be patient while your learned the basics.
