Vantaggi

If you're a dinner server/bartender you can make decent tips on weekends

Svantaggi

- poor management (the managers verbally abuse employees on a regular basis, practice favoritism, threaten to take away your shifts if you disagree with them in any way, micromanage every action, etc) - poverty wages for back of house employees - often send employees home after only two hours of working - no job stability as it is difficult to get more than three shifts per week if your a front of house employee. average employee probably only gets one to two shifts per week. - employees do not get paid sick days ( or even unpaid sick days) and are penalized if they don't show up for work because of illness without a doctors note. - managers do not take sexual harassment seriously - company does not offer any benefits (I.e. health insurance, dental, gain share, etc.) to employees.

Vantaggi

There is good money to be made here, especially given the location and consistent foot traffic. Most team members are supportive and hardworking, and lower management, including the ASM, do a solid job. Overall, the staff culture among team members is a strong point.

Svantaggi

Unfortunately, the general manager’s leadership style makes the work environment difficult. The management approach is highly authoritarian, with little room for collaboration and a heavy focus on criticism and micromanagement. When ECs (shift leads) are working the floor, their input on shift cuts or pacing is often dismissed, even though they are directly seeing changes in volume. This can result in over staffing that impact servers and bartenders earnings. The environment feels driven more by fear and control than trust. Favoritism also appears to play a role in how team members are treated. While this is a place where money can be made, that experience often depends on being in the GM’s good graces.
