      * Senior leadership are usually scientists who published popular scientific computing work but who are not professional software leaders. Therefore, they pigeonhole staff info ‘postdoc’ roles and silos. It’s a frustrating work experience because everyone is constantly reinventing the wheel and the calibre of work output is very low. * Work environment favours politicking and sycophancy.

      A little bit isolated from the nearest city, Cambridge, but not much of a problem since they have a shuttle that runs very smoothly every day.
