They lure you in with a fat compensation package. Higher ups describe a great culture with loads of support and opportunity.

Truth hits hard. There are ZERO systems in this infant company. If you need any type of interaction with your superior - good luck. It will never happen. You will be left floundering for air like a carp flopping around on the jetty. If you make ANY rookie mistake, they throw you under the bus very fast and begin to advertise for your job. Typical startup bravado by the upper few, with rows of underlings suffering in dumb anguish below them. No systems. No Standard Operating Procedures. No job descriptions. It is a miserable, isolated place to work.
