Was told it was a construction company, come to find out it was a door-to-door salesman position. - Recensione dipendente - Sales Associate presso FHIA Remodeling
If you’re good at selling, or “pitching” (as they say), and like to walk nonstop all day, then this is the job for you.
Svantaggi
Walking alone, door to door in all kinds of weather, and in random neighborhoods from sun up to sun down (and I do mean sun down). I felt very unsafe, especially being alone and a female. No structure or lack of, especially with management.

We are sorry to hear that this was your experience.
We acknowledge the challenges you mentioned regarding the nature of the job - door-to-door sales can indeed involve extensive walking in various weather conditions, and we understand that this can be physically demanding and exhausting. We are sorry to hear that you felt unsafe, particularly as a female employee. The well-being and safety of our team members are of utmost importance to us, and we take your concerns seriously, hence why we strongly encourage employees to reach out to their immediate supervisor or the HR department if they ever feel unsafe or encounter concerning situations.
We will take on your advice about transparency also - we strive to be transparent in our communication with employees and potential candidates but will ensure that future employees have an even clearer understanding of the job requirements, challenges, and potential risks involved.

You’ll learn to handle rejection better than anywhere else.
If you can sell here, you can sell anywhere.
Great crash course in corporate buzzwords and “fake it till you make it.”
Lots of practice smiling through unrealistic expectations.
You’ll master the art of working under extreme pressure.
Svantaggi
Unrealistic performance expectations and constant pressure to meet aggressive sales quotas.
Product pricing is significantly higher than market alternatives, making closing deals challenging.
Management often focuses more on numbers than employee well-being.
High turnover due to burnout and lack of genuine support.
Training can feel more like indoctrination than skill-building.
Company culture prioritizes image and sales over authenticity and transparency.
Limited work-life balance; long hours and late appointments are common.
Communication between departments can be inconsistent or unclear.
