Vantaggi

Finn Partners acts the part of a top-tier agency when it comes to office perks such as free snacks, breakfast on Fridays and interesting guest speakers. They also have generous compensation packages and summer hours with the rub that you can actually take them.

Svantaggi

With the generous compensation comes serious trade offs. I, for one, was often working upwards to 60+ hours a week including weekends, was on the road for client meetings or pitches at least two times per month. Because the firm is so large and the client base is so diverse, employees who work across client teams (research, digital, creative, etc.) were put in positions to fail more often than they were to succeed because the client teams didn't know or understand bandwidth issues. Finally, this is a good place to work for the younger, single or childless adults but not if you have a young family. The emails (and often work) does not stop and like many agencies you are expected to reply accordingly. Finally, your worth is often tied to how many hours you can bill.

Vantaggi

Prioritizes work-life balance and enormous openness to feedback.

Svantaggi

Limited opportunities for growth (I was part of a team that had no promotions in 6+ years, despite the fact that all of them are amazing), DEI façade to "pretend" they're part of a progressive movement (I'm nonbinary, I said this in my application and interview process, and literally no one ever used my correct pronouns, especially my manager who I talked about this with several times), and there's a lot of chaos that folks simply accept as a fact of life rather than something to grow from and improve. There's simply no desire to collaborate for growth—literally one of the most dysfunctional places I've worked at.
