Planning team management is awful. Your goals are a moving target. They expect you to have 20+ client meetings, run all of the analysis, monitor the investments, maintain all admin work, and carry a client load of 200 clients. The "planning tools" are no better than online calculators. Expect 12 hour days every day. The management team will gaslight you when you speak up and ask for change. They will continually point the blame back to you as a planner rather than admit that their goals are unrealistic. Pay attention to the negative reviews. This is how most planners feel at Facet, but can't say anything out of fear of losing their jobs.

I joined Facet with high expectations based on what was presented during the hiring process, but the reality was very different. The training felt like drinking from a firehose. After roughly ONE week of training, I was expected to perform at a level that simply wasn’t realistic given the complexity of the role. They want you to sell close to $140K a month in memberships just to hit commission. In my time I watched maybe 4-5 people hit goal per month while the other 8-10 reps did not make any commission. There was little meaningful ramp period or structured development to help new employees succeed. First month ramp was over $100K in membership sales. Nobody from my hiring team hit it. Not one. One of the biggest issues I observed was inconsistency in how opportunities were distributed. It felt like some reps received preferential treatment while others struggled to get the same opportunities. I watched two or 3 of the top reps hit record sales and then the next month, they struggled bad while then others did great. This leads me to believe there’s a lot of lead quality manipulation. At times, leads would even be turned off, making it extremely difficult to recover or have a successful month. How the hell are you supposed to hit goal if they literally TURN THE LEADS OFF?! Turnover was also concerning. During my time there, I saw 6-7 people leave or be terminated, with some of my peers not making it past their first 30 days. That level of turnover raised serious questions about the onboarding process and the company’s expectations for new hires. I’ve literally NEVER seen someone get fired for performance within 30 days. It’s outrageous. Facet is sink or swim. The compensation can be attractive if everything goes your way, and there are good people who work here. However, I don’t believe the day-to-day reality matched what was advertised during the recruiting process. If you’re considering this opportunity, ask detailed questions about training, ramp expectations, lead distribution, performance metrics, and turnover before accepting an offer. Or just don’t leave your six figure job to come here because they truly don’t give a **** about you. Also, don’t expect to have a life. Some people are literally putting in 12+ hour days to get the process down. You aren’t paid for it. They want you to work weekends too. They truly don’t care about anything but money.
