Vantaggi
* Pay and other benefits are good * Quite easy to get the equipment you need * Modern well equipped office space * Excellent selection of tea, coffee, beer, soft drinks, fruit, snacks * Weekly breakfast provided, monthly catered lunch (for charity donation) * Basically desperate to foster any cultural activities that bring people together in a company that grew very fast and has some challenging times ahead. * Reasonable training budget. * There really isn't anything else with the same challenges of scale etc. in Edinburgh. I mean, technically you could work for Skyscanner, but... * Sort of unlimited holiday/vacation. They're not counted currently, but contractually you have a fixed number.
Svantaggi
* Operates in an ever changing regulatory environment * Pay reviews postponed (for six months?) * A liquidity event that would make our options worth anything could be some way off * Admin (e.g. HR, payroll) seem especially prone to silly mistakes, from the serious matter of calculating tax wrong, through delaying or mislaying paperwork, to the everyday irritation of not putting descriptions on calendar events. * Criticism of the office environment could be handled better at times. * Far too many stakeholders in product decisions * Artificial urgency created by bike-shedding and late prioritisation of features * You can submit questions to the CEO for the weekly all hands call, but sometimes they're just ignored
