The biggest challenge is the inconsistency with upper management and the high turnover. In the Portland area at least, most team members stay for only 6-9 months while Leads stay for 2-3 years before leaving. This was not always the case, but most of the veterans have left for various reasons and have told me that leaving FedEx was the best choice they've made. And for the new team members that do join, the training program is still new and the team members they pick weren't really trained on how to use it. While the skills you earn (project management, time management, and administrative work to name a few) are great, the sale expectations with little compensation is hard to balance. If you aren't a Manager, you can only earn additional money off selling the product of the month or overtime. So if you dont negotiate a good wage up front, you can suffer further along.
