Vantaggi
I really don't have much in the way of Pros; maybe if someone really liked printing or customer service then there could be pros. They do try to keep options open for advancement. However, the financial compensation is seriously lacking for amount of responsibility and know-how.
Svantaggi
Abysmal management — just terrible. The pay is low, but perhaps a bit above average. However, the pay does not come close to being adequate for the knowledge and responsibility that is necessary to be successful at working for FedEx Office. The head-office loves to change the rules mid-game: they will provide a set of goals that if reached could result in bonus-pay, but the metrics for determining success have a habit of changing drastically and in such a way that it makes it nearly impossible to reach goals. Oh, and there's the whole standing for 8+ hours each work day. Then there are the shifting policies or rather the policy that they decide to enforce that month. For instance there might be one month were you just have to tough out not getting a lunch break because the store is too busy or there aren't enough people to cover it, or because you're left alone in the store for your entire shift. But, next month you get written up for skipping your lunch break. Oh, and let's not forget the hypocrisy. Upper management orders posters hung in the stores claiming how environmentally-friendly the company is with things like being committed to recycling. I worked for FedEx Office for over 7 years. Trash or recycling, end up in the same dumpster and landfill. Toxic and non-toxic materials, all end up in the same landfill. Waste toner is toxic, quite harmful and should be properly contained (the tiny particles have a habit of getting into a person's lungs and causing quite a bit of damage) and disposed of properly. Due mostly to failures of management to have the proper supplies on hand I have witnessed at three different locations and on many occasions employees emptying waste toner into trash bins or into bags. Sometimes spilling it all over themselves. It's just ridiculous.
