Vantaggi
There's a ton of projects and new work to be done at any point, so there's always a good sense that the company is in a state of extreme growth. We've recently announced a handful of significant partnerships, so now is a very good time for folks getting their foot in the door. It's definitely apparent that management is starting to move out of the startup phase and is working to really mentor new talent coming in, so there's a good mix of fast pace along with opportunities to build your skills and technical chops. I've always felt like the company culture is extremely supportive and accommodative of my needs as an engineer during COVID. Company is liberal with offering equity every quarter, so there's always a chance to increase your ownership of the company and reap the rewards of the tech that we're working to build. The company has also permitted permanent WFH as an option, so it's been really nice being able to break out of the bay area and live closer to family while still engaging with bay area companies. CEO and upper management are extremely transparent on ongoing initiatives and verticals progress in the company. I always feel like I have a decent grasp of where we're going on a weekly basis. Management is also EXTREMELY intelligent and possess a ton of wisdom in their market and product moves. I am a happy worker with a first class ticket on Mike Cagney's rocket to Mars. Overall this company is prepped for continuing significant growth, and I'm really excited to see where we continue to make waves!
Svantaggi
There's tons to do and we've got a significant need for more engineering talent, so our existing initiatives have been demanding on the engineering groups we've built thus far. Long hours are usually expected as big software pushes come in and are given aggressive deadlines. The company is extremely fluid in its market sensitivity and works to maintain its status as a 'unicorn' company, so you might find yourself balancing different plates for different products, but usually the company is accommodative to what it feels each engineer is able to take on.
