Vantaggi

Free Healthcare (love) Free Snacks (love) Hybrid (pro and con depending on how you look at it) Most of the people are great and really kind Free lunches and goodies on occasion (Marissa is so sweet and tries to take care of us) Generally not a difficult job Quarterly bonuses (but it seems like they’re implementing changes to this structure that could make it less attainable)

Svantaggi

Hybrid for a job that could really be fully remote. Office is uptown and parking is between $15/$30 A DAY, which is actually burdensome for most employees. Many CSAs do the jobs of processors and UWs, but don’t have that title or the pay. New policies are frequently being implemented that feel punitive, and it seems like they’re trying to find ways to make things more efficient which usually just results in making our jobs more difficult. There is no room for advancement or growth. Unless you’re white, you probably won’t get promoted, and if you do, it’s definitely not going to be to a position of authority. There’s no diversity in management and above. They don’t do performance based raises. Anytime someone asks about raises they say they cont. to evaluate other companies and the market for this same role to make sure they’re on par. Your experience here as a CSA can largely depend on your manager. I’ve had great managers and one in particular who is an incessant micro manager and very critical, regardless of how hard we work and how great our performance is. Changes are common and expected at startups, but I’ve worked for startups before and have never been somewhere that is so structurally disorganized. Most people don’t even have a solid understanding of their role. They are often tone deaf when communicating changes that impact our daily workflow. They will follow up some arbitrary and punitive new policy announcement with something like “thank you for working so hard, we couldn’t do this without you…” but don’t ever follow that up with any action. You can work really hard at reaching a goal or fulfilling some metric, and the goal post will be moved on you. The work-from-home incentive is an example of this. While the work itself isn’t difficult, production goals are stressful for fulfillment and some of the new expectations for customer care make it more stressful.

Vantaggi

I have been with Figure for 5 years, starting as an Associate Engineer and growing into a Senior Engineer. This company has genuinely changed my life and helped me build the kind of future I dreamed about when I was first starting out in college. I’ve worked alongside truly excellent engineers, been given meaningful growth opportunities, and have been more than fairly compensated along the way, including raises that kept my pay highly competitive even between promotions. The work is engaging, challenging, and keeps me sharp. The culture is one of the best parts of the company: a rare blend of fast iteration, high ownership, strong engineering talent, and controlled chaos in the best possible way. Figure moves quickly, embraces emerging technology, and continues to grow without losing the energy that makes it exciting to work here.

Svantaggi

The pace may not be for everyone. Figure has a startup-like culture where things move fast, priorities can shift, and teams are expected to adapt quickly. I personally find that refreshing and motivating because it keeps the work from becoming monotonous. However, people coming from environments where change is slower or processes are more rigid may need time to adjust.

Vantaggi

Free health insurance, the option to work from home, pay was good.

Svantaggi

They hire and fire at will. They have no real training program. They throw all this stuff at you and advise to take notes, then they tell you that you have 3 assessments to take. They tell you that you cant look at any of the documents or tools that they provided to you to do the job. How they expect you to know all that is impossible. Then they let you to believe that you passed and put you on the floor doing the job. Two days later they call you after you go home, to say oh you didnt pass training.. You didnt get the score of 85. Did not matter that I was doing the job and getting high QA scores. and they dont let you repeat training, they just fire you. You are just a number to them and not a human being.
