Vantaggi
The sugarhouse office is very nice, and located in a nice location where surrounding eateries are easily accessible. People at Filevine are great for the most part, but there are a few who lack people/ management skills that make you really question how the hell they got hired.
Svantaggi
There are a lot of things wrong with Filevine internally. The leadership teams are misaligned, there is a lot of contradiction amongst what leaders say to the whole group, and what they say to other smaller sub groups within the company. There are a number of culture champions within the org who have really tried to establish the culture- but what a lot of people don't realize or just don't have experience with- is culture extends beyond the swag and the slack channels, beyond LinkedIn and the social media posts, culture will NEVER thrive in a place that lacks accountability. There are leaders within the org who are not held accountable and who point the finger at others when they should shoulder the blame. It has created hostility within teams and has created tension around conversations that try to hold others accountable. This place is about politics and anyone who says otherwise is lying or unaware. If you don't have any experience in the legal space, you should know that there are two different areas the sales development teams are built around. Contingency (typically personal injury, medical malpractice, etc. - firms that bill on a contingent basis) and Non-Contingency (all other practices of law that fall outside of contingent billing). If you come in on the contingency side you should be ok. If you are trying to come in on the non-contingency side, I've heard that it is a nightmare for most of the team and a lot of their sets are rejected because of billing issues that we do not support. The account executives here SUCK- they suck- they suck- they are the absolute worst. IF you aim to feel valued, or have a relationship in which you can be mentored- this is not the place for you. Quota is higher than it probably should be and you'll likely end up having to pass 1/2 the sets you pull in. If you're okay with someone getting into President's Club on your grind this is the place for you! The SDR teams are hunger games level - every man woman and child for themselves- if you value team camaraderie or feeling supported by your peers this is probably not the place for you. You will come across at least 5 new competitors you've never heard of every single day (wish I was exaggerating unfortunately I'm not) The timeline offered for promotion is not realistic, and you will probably be sitting in seat a lot longer than they'd leave you to expect. Work life balance doesn't mean a thing here. You are required and expected to be in seat day-in-and-day-out. IF you have a family to support or kids this is probably not a place conducive to your success. Leaders will tell you unlimited PTO, but actually stepping away for even a couple of hours is problematic. You will be treated like a child when asking for time off, and in the event that it is granted - you will be made to feel extremely guilty for it.
