Vantaggi
The software I worked with specifically was AMAZING. There are not enough good things I can say about it. Most of my team member were so great to work with and kept up the pace with their workload.
Svantaggi
There are so many now compared to when I first started. Filevine had such amazing potential, but within the last year, everything has taken a turn for the worst. While yes, Filevine often promotes from within, before resigning I saw SEVERAL people who were already in management positions get an ADDITIONAL management position for a completely different team. It made it feel impossible to move up in any way. This leads me to my next point. Trying to get a promotion was near impossible. After spending almost 2 whole years there and asking countless times, I was still overlooked. The company chose to give the same people additional management/director roles, instead of promoting someone else. This left a lot of teams lacking in so many areas, especially the Support Team. The support team was so well designed for Filevine as a product, but for the other products the company provided, it didn’t matter. After escalating client after client and being reached out to on a day to day basis for support related questions, the upper management STILL DID NOTHING TO CHANGE THE SUPPORT TEAM FOR THE BETTER. Filevine will always be there for itself and not for the systems/softwares it acquires. The company did NOTHING to try to keep me, and I have a strong feeling it had to do with money. It seemed like they were eager to let me leave, and after everything I had done to make sure my clients were taken care of, it felt like a huge slap in the face. Filevine had certain ideals at the start of when I first joined. In the most recent all-hands meeting, not a single one was mentioned. You could tell by the meeting and what everyone was saying that Filevine was going to take a turn for the worst this year. The company is now stopping all focus on keeping clients happy and they’re now only focused on money and how to cut costs. During the last department wide meeting, we were told to no longer go above and beyond for the clients, that things were becoming even more limited, and to stop all “white glove treatment.” This will be what breaks the company.
