The environment used to be very collaborative, no longer. Production does not listen to engineering causing issues with deliveries. This was the main reason why the UI for Civ7 was so crappy when it shipped. Upper management is mostly absent from day to day operations and seems interested in only advancing their own careers by creating new 3 letter terms. Upper management is no longer on site, its located in N.C.
Upper management is convinced AI will allow them to make games by saving time. While AI can do a lot of tasks, it can't define or create FUN. Sadly that feature "FUN" will be what is sacrificed in order to keep a budget and make a schedule.
