Sharing this to support and protect the design community. In my experience, fivd,io has a deeply unhealthy and toxic work culture—especially for designers. Management operates in a very bossy, top-down manner where respect is missing. Communication often feels harsh and dismissive rather than constructive, and misbehavior is normalized instead of addressed. There is constant pressure, unrealistic expectations, and little to no appreciation for creative effort. Designers are treated more like execution machines than professionals with skills, opinions, or boundaries. Feedback is rarely supportive and often delivered in a way that damages confidence rather than helping people grow. What stood out most was the lack of value placed on people. Long hours, mental stress, and emotional burnout seem to be accepted as “part of the job.” There is no sense of psychological safety, and that can be extremely harmful—especially in a creative field where trust and respect matter. I’m writing this not out of spite, but out of responsibility. Designers deserve better workplaces—ones that value creativity, mental health, and basic human decency. I hope others in the design community stay cautious and protect themselves from environments like this.
