discount? if that really is enough a pro...its a five dollar & below store... oh & another pro? its a PAYCHECK...that's it...screw the "fun" environment they claim to have

Beyond unfair, you work your ass off for 3 years, at two different stores & nothing to show... Yet others get promoted because they "need" someone...This company is a joke & not appreciative of their employees...Its sad how i can do my managers job better than she can..like are you kidding ? & another thing is, I was SUPPOSED to have already been promoted. & it DOES NOT matter how hard you work, the ONLY way you'll get anywhere in the company is if they NEED to fill a position, OR you are specifically hired for that position. Another thing is I know of some managers who spend more than 50% in the back doing what exactly?? there IS NOT that much paper work and other stuff to be doing during a closing shift that you need to spend that much time back there. The work load is sooo uneven, associates get treated slaves, & thats the god honest truth... I should have learned this by now, but yet 3 years later, I'm still with this ridiculous company..probably only because i get paid $9.00 an hour...

-store managers have little to no oversight and cross professional boundaries often - hr is ineffective, document everything yourself, report to the EEOC -growth opportunities in the store are very limited and they will lowball you no matter what you do or sacrifice -crazy turnover because the expectations are unrealistic store managers lie about pay budget to everyone -more likely to hire teens and students because they are easier to take advantage of for little pay, only needs adult for when teens and students cannot work (night shifts, school days) - nearby stores, especially if in a strip mall or shopping center, like tj maxx have higher base pay, better benefits, better security, and more hour availability
