Vantaggi

My co-workers were very committed to the cause. 25 days PTO per year. 15 Holidays per year. Health and dental benefits offer plans where the employer pays the full premium. You make great connections with the migrant community.

Svantaggi

While working at FIRRP, I found myself consistently drowning in large caseloads and shelter work. HR is slow to hire new people and there is a huge turnover of all personnel resulting in taking on more work than just your own. My hiring process took over 2.5 months. People generally don't stay more than 6 months to a year due to management's unsupportive and unresponsive practices. There were many times when the team communicated issues to management and there was zero action. The training process was disorganized and inadequate for the work that we are expected to produce. Management denies PTO/ sick time/ parental leave after they were originally approved citing seniority.
