Long hours and my commute sucks

Foliage is a great place to work if you are an experienced engineer with a proven track record, and are looking for a place to broaden your skills, both technical and "domain specific." Over time, you will work in a variety of industries, and gain a fresh appreciation for how much you didn't know - and how much you have yet to learn. Some of the stuff we work on is really cool, and you will get to work with a variety of experienced and talented engineers. It is an especially great place to work if you are a software engineer who has previously worked at companies where software was not the primary focus of the business. Foliage provides a variety of engineering services to their customers, but their primary focus is on software intensive projects. I've found it refreshing to work at a company where top management really understands the business of software development.

1. Not every project is great. You may get stuck on a project that is dull or just drags on. Fortunately, it probably won't last too long, and your next project will probably be better. 2. If you are looking to climb a corporate ladder, you might be better off at a product company. Foliage is best for strong technical people who want to remain technical. 3. Because of customer confidentiality agreements, you may not be able to tell your friends about the really cool stuff you are working on.
