Very fulfilling job. You will work with the best in the service industry. Most that work for Four Seasons have a true passion for their careers. Nice benefits that include complimentary stays at any Four Seasons (if available) and their 401K is solid. Another nice thing about working at FS was that most departments have more staff than other hotels because they need to provide luxury service. You will have an opportunity to work at some of the most beautiful places in the world if your willing to relocate.

There are many layers of management and a lot of decisions are made by executives that are not in touch with the ground level departments. In order to purchase the tools you need to do your job it will take weeks / months to receive ordered tools / materials. The salaries they pay their managers are average at best and raises each year are 1-3% of you current base salary. The raises apply to every manager in the hotel whether you are a high performer or a low hanging fruit, you will all get the same increase. Most FS managers that progress quickly are not born in the USA. Due to most departments staffing heavy the bottom line suffers greatly at Four Seasons, this has caused a lot of tension and even separation between the property owners and FS. The properties that have Unions will be much harder to work in as there is much more red tape in disciplining hourly employees.

Very friendly staff. Straightforward job with good pay. Overall an enjoyable job.

Inconsistent hours. Burnout can occur if you're looking for something easy. Other than that its pretty much exactly what you'd expect. Good job to have.

Communication is terrible; act first, communicate later. Constant shifting goalposts; it seems like, before we can nail down one new kpi or project, an exec got bored and created a new one. The brand seems to have lost its roots since the founder left. If you are in FnB, you enjoy schedule flexibility, not here. If you are full-time, you will always work 40 hours unless you use vacation, and hotels are exhausting. Trading shifts is not a thing. There's no technical training. There's a lot of mandatory training, but it only covers work culture topics. Your direct manager will rarly be available since they seem to be in a meeting every hour of the day.
