I was invited to apply for the position of coordinator late in 2016 to start January 2016. I came from and have returned to my professional profession, but I took the role as I had worked as a caseworker for the Home Office UKBA in Sheffield 5 years prior and it fit in with my Degree studies. I took the role which turned out to be a different but similar role and 2k less in wage and I started with many excited & some lovely others in the New Year. Essentially I look back with horror at my time with Fragomen, even despite having worked for NGO's before but in comparison to the HO it becomes very clear that your working for the other side, essentially your in the competitive market, your job, your salary, the working environment and very importantly the obscure and slightly offensive top down relationship of management. In the words of any economic hitman; the multinational invites you in, takes control of your finances (your life), then proceeds to destroy you either into submission or your working life on paper which I didn't give them the option to; So beware and think about who you are and what you want from your working life before you say yes to this.

Decent overtime pay. I also had a decent training/onboarding experience, but this was not the norm.

Exploitative, 80+ hour work weeks, 2am messages from attorneys, burn-out model for paralegals and associates (scoop them up after BA or JD and overwork them until they quit), misrepresent case load during interview by 50% of total, low ceiling for non-attorney career advancement. Have an exit plan.
