Positive experiences at Fragomen are highly dependent upon your team. Generally speaking, fellow paras are extremely friendly and helpful. The office itself is very diverse as well which makes it more comfortable for BIPOC.

The transparency between partners and their teams are nonexistent. There is an extreme emphasis on billing and ensuring as much money is collected as possible to meet financial goals. The partners do not come to the office in person and are held to different standards. The workload is pretty intense on both managers and paras. Stress from managers trickles down on the paras as well. Client interaction feels like retail customer service given the entitlement of the client's employees. You will be verbally abused via email on multiple occasions and are expected to handle very stressful interactions alone. Expectations (regarding SLAs to turn a case around) are not clearly communicated to the client which is why their employees feel as though they can walk over their case workers. Lastly, within the para realm, even if you are offered a promotion, expect to do the same exact work as lower level paras. There is no room for career growth.
