Poor management. Half of the supervisors are unfit for the position they hold. The problem only gets worse for higher positions as the managers and directors that are currently at GEICO seem to be making a lot of bad decisions. Time will probably prove this to be true as the company already had its first layoffs (in the company's history) in 2023. Recent issue for them is poor communication. Similar to any large employer. The company does not care about the employees. If the company needs to meet a quota of employees that need to be let go, any employee is fair game regardless of their tenure. They will use performance as an excuse to end employment which is terrible when that is not the actual reason.
