Vantaggi

Reputation of Genentech products is strong

Svantaggi

Roche is slowly chipping away at Genentech culture and benefits. Less paid Holidays, Dental insurance benefits reduced, Healthcare costs increased and complex to manage, no incentives for legacy and long term employees, Top down management. Micromanagement to the point where entire staff is paralyzed. Telecommute policy not equal or consistent across the company.

We appreciate you sharing your review and we’d like to thank you for your 10+ years at Genentech. Our effort to address unmet medical needs would not be possible without the work our employees do every day. With that said, we strive to create an environment where all of our people can do their best work. Some ways we do this include our competitive benefits packages that are examined across the marketplace and our working flexibly mindset. We believe employees should work in the places where they can succeed; thus we encourage you to have an open dialogue with your department if you seek different working flexibility guidelines, as well as to speak up about how you perform best. Thanks again for your review!

Vantaggi

The work is meaningful and overall the company vision aligns with my goals

Svantaggi

QA management has become inept. None of the leadership (aside from maybe one or two) truly understand the nuances of our site and jobs. They refuse to pay you more due to "budget" reasons but won't provide much information, they claim to be transparent but will make decisions behind your back and not communicate them, even if they impact you and/or your job. Leadership doesn't listen to feedback and gets defensive if you even try to give any. It honestly has become a game of politics only in QA and that's not really building any real quality culture.
