Good pay, decent benefits which declined over the years.

Way too much management. The old Motorola brotherhood system exists here which is not good for non-Motorolans. Fantastic work without drama goes unrecognized. Everything has to be a crisis. Real engineers are continually laid off while management goes unscathed. Company has gone from 6000 to 2000 since late 2009. Not winning new work.

We are a large, defense contracting company and do our best to ensure that all of our employees feel valued for the hard work that we know they all do. Some numbskulls seem to get into senior positions. A "Consolidation" of buildings is underfunded, poorly planned, and drives chaos. The push to squeeze every nickel of efficiency means that there isn't always money for equipment or team building events (below the VP level).
