They do not look out for staff needs. At a family-friendly organization, there is no healthcare for dependents, not enough time off for maternity leave or bereavement, and no sick days. The turnover rate is extremely high. There was a recent effort to change this via unionization efforts, but leadership has decided to push back on these efforts. It feels that if you're not at the executive level, they have no interest in hearing your opinion at all.
