Vantaggi
Giant Machines is hands down the best place I've worked for. The people are all fantastic and absolutely willing to help each other grow. The leadership is transparent, open to feedback, and always looking to help employees continue their personal and professional growth.
Work-life balance here is a priority. The company doesn't want to burn people out. If you do wind up working late or crazy hours, someone will check in to make sure you're okay. The one week I wound up working late, I was given a comp day and the CEO wrote to me to say that he appreciated my efforts.
As an engineer, I feel like I've grown exponentially in the time I've been here. The projects I work on are interesting and challenging. I never feel alone in them, though. The team is always here to help out.
The company is growing at a steady and sustainable pace.
The culture is phenomenal. Normally, "culture" is just another stupid corporate buzzword that I can't help roll my eyes at. At Giant Machines, "culture" is a very real thing. The company actively works to promote a culture of inclusion, diversity, growth (personal and professional), and collaboration. Such efforts don't feel forced at all, as they might in other companies. Rather, I genuinely enjoy it.
Svantaggi
Because of the steady growth, there are some slight growing pains (e.g., processes and the like). This is not too bad, though, and the leadership is always transparent about such changes.
