The powerful impact of the work done through Global Disciples is evident in the stories and testimonies from the field. There seems to be a genuine, shared desire among staff to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ by utilizing individuals gifts and talents. Staff work hard, collaborate well, and value relationships. The work environment is very positive--the overall vibe in the office is excellent. Even though there are many staff who are relatively new to their roles because of recent turnover, the more experienced staff have been incredibly supportive and gracious. Pay and benefits are solid for a small, Christian non-profit.

Because Global has been growing rapidly, development and improvement of systems has been necessary in order to accommodate the volume of ministry work. Sometimes it has been challenging to maintain excellence in all areas because there is so much work to be done.

There are no pros for this organization

Global Disciples has multiple elements of toxic culture and no matter how many times employees bring their concerns to leadership nothing changes. Management miscommunication happens regularly and employees carry the burden and anxiety. Employees that bully others are kept on staff and promoted while turnover of most other staff is constant due to the toxic culture. Global Disciples loves to say they love change but are constantly changing and never following through with change management leaving most employees over worked and burnt out. Leadership is a group of buddy buddy males with no room for the lower half of staff to ever grow or be promoted.
