The mission to help people overcome barriers and get a quality job is great!

There is a lot to do!

Mission-driven organization that provides opportunities for people with barriers to employment (though it does not provide a way for these individuals to advance within the company, and often stops them from accomplishing any meaningful life progress) Coworkers can be supportive, and you meet a wide variety of people. The work keeps you physically active.

Physically demanding and often unsafe working conditions, with little concern shown for employee health. I've watched someone die on the job, and the warning signs were there long before the medical emergency happened, yet management paid no mind. Injuries are not handled well; reporting issues can lead to retaliation rather than support. This creates a sense of isolation and hostility, they will do their best to force you into quitting. Management communication is poor—policies are inconsistent and HR support feels minimal. Pay is low for the amount of labor expected, and raises or promotions are rare. Focus seems more on meeting production quotas than supporting staff.
