Weak SVP Leadership - Recensione dipendente - Director presso Gopuff

SVP level is weak from a leadership perspective (within the past two years). There is a lot of great talent throughout the company, however politics trumps great ideas. As with any leader a certain percentage of an idea/strategy is to benefit the company while also benefiting the individual. Unfortunately at GoPuff 95% of the strategy is for the individual leader ( win political arguments or boost their own career) and 5% is for the benefit of the company. I was super excited to join GoPuff and think it’s a great idea. However the politics took away from the fun/ creativity and rewarding work. Instead it became a war between leaders and the teams focus turned to providing data and insights to win that weeks political battle. Hiring good people is the toughest job and GoPuff failed at this at the executive level. The toxic culture at this level quickly spread throughout the company and the only reason people stayed was for the glimmer of hope of a potential IPO.
