Working for GCLS is my dream job. All of my supervisors and managers have been friendly and willing to bend over backward for their employees. Management is always improving our online resources and productivity, and it's fun to watch our value grow in the community. We have great programs for adults and children alike, and the library is always willing to entertain new ideas from employees.

The nights and weekends required in most positions, while not a real problem for me, can sometimes be draining on family and social time.

There aren’t many pros. Nice coworkers and decent management.

Pay. Pay is a joke. For part timers you get no work life balance. They give you a TINY bit of time off. It’s not a good work life balance. They also play favorites.
