Very physical job, constant standing, expected to work nonstop for 12 hours except for the two 15 minute breaks. There is very high turnover at all levels. All communication is one-way, and it’s typically “my way or the highway.” Changes to rules and management happen frequently with no explanation. The work environment physically is not the best, can be very cold in winter and very hot in summer, but there are other concerns too. Discipline is uneven at best but people get yelled at for very minor things, like talking to their nearby coworkers, while others seem to get away with anything. It often felt like there was no one interested in listening to our concerns, and that we were treated like bad-behaving children who weren’t worth the time of day, as we could readily be replaced. There is not much room for promotion, and promotions that do occur tend to be head-scratchers. Management took little interest in knowing what our jobs actually entailed and preferred to sit at their desks and yell (literally yell) at us from afar. This job will be hard on your body and mind, so it’s good that they have above average medical insurance. The company doesn’t stand by their values and I’m skeptical that their brand in any way reflects the reality behind the closed doors. The overall feeling is one of instability.
