Most of the employees are very committed to their jobs and buildings.

The company touts a "People First" attitude, but senior leaders seem to be totally comfortable verbally berating employees at the bottom of the totem pole and accusing them of serious wrongdoing based on little more than speculation. My department (I was a field employee in a department based out of Corporate) experienced astonishing turnover when leadership was changed, long-time employees vanished without an announcement, and there are no actual growth opportunities outside of field operations. The unions that control buildings in several areas seem to hate dealing with Harvard, which is understandable... the place is a mess! No care or understanding is taken with employees, but the front-line staff doing the work will be constantly called out for not being "People First" enough. We were told on conference calls to think about how we fit in in the vision for the senior leader's vision of the future, and to relate to the "must win battles"... but when I expressed an interest in growing with the company, I was called some very unprofessional things and left the call feeling demoralized. I'm much happier where I'm not being relegated to a paper-pushing role.

Get to know lots of great individuals Either employees/workers from Harvard, NOT management from the buildings you are assigned to during the contract period.

Worst Management in the industry, especially the regional Office @ 59 Maiden St, NYC Incompetent lady in the morning, very nasty and unprofessional
