There was a time when I joined when I thought this was a great improvement over my previous company. The first thing that made me believe that was the work culture and attitude of everybody who worked here. There was unity. There was genuine enthusiasm to work and grow along with friends But, from all the red covering this review, you can already start to guess that all of the things I just mentioned have dark undertones The management seems to be nice at first. They ARE friendly, in fact. Perhaps TOO friendly. They'll chill out and hang around like any other employee. But understand, they do not do it to be humble It is Impossible to talk about this company without talking about its fundamental ethics. Yes, like you've read in some other reviews, they really do treat lateral hires the same way you would treat the elaichi in biryani or the bone in your kabab The management has a doublethink or a double standard. They make a lot of sexual innuendo jokes casually. It's supposed to be okay. I mean, it isn't glaringly obvious. But it makes one squirm with discomfort and cringe. But somehow, some lame joke offends them. The logic behind this yet to be determined If you're a girl in this company, you'll have every creep talking about you. I'm sure the ones reading this will know who they are and they're numerous. It's just disgusting how this is taken to be the norm A VERY important aspect of this company that you should really know about is that nepotism runs rampant. Favouritism too. Some of you might start feeling inferior very quickly. When I joined, this company had potential because it was smaller and had actual talent. But now, it's filled with references/relatives/friends of some in the higher-ups. They've hired them blindly, significantly bringing down the competency of the organisation All the talents have left or are leaving. Obviously, talent and skills can't compete with blatant incompetence and nepotism. Beware of this process called RT though before you join. It is one of the wildest things I've witnessed in any organisation. It has no rules. It has no shape or form. You get appraisals/promotions based purely on some people liking you or not liking you or even if they prefer your teammate to you. Many a people can attest to this barbaric ritual. The politics in this company can rival that of the nation And oh yeah, it's true that they have had lay-offs. They hire in bulk. They'll fire enmasse. They will expect loyalty from you. There's nothing wrong in that. It's just that the same is not reciprocated

Thank you for your honest feedback. This sounds like a really frustrating experience. We strongly believe reviews such as yours make us understand how to address the pain points and challenges our employees face. I'm sorry you didn't have a more positive experience working here, but we appreciate the honest feedback. However, there are few points we can't agree with, especially about nepotism, hiring in bulk, differentiating lateral and campus hires. The correct facts are that: -out of around 700 employees, there are only a couple of cases (less than 10 cases to be precise) where employees are relatives/cousins. - we don’t hire in bulk and keep employees on the bench for a long time. We are also one of the companies which give the employees to choose the project out of the options available. - sexual jokes are not common and not encouraged among employees. We have well defined POSH (Prevention Of Sexual Harassment) and addresses if someone is found guilty. - there were no bulk layoffs. We though agree that as part of active performance management, we have involuntary exits after thorough checks. This was mostly after giving training, communicating the feedback and no improvement was noticed. Not just HashedIn, no company will want to lay off after investing in the employee. But it’s unfortunate that we have to make a difficult call as we don't see progress and the employee is not able to cope with HashedIn’s pace. - we have a very scientific method of assessing the employee’s performance. There are well-defined band specifications for each of the tracks and evaluation criteria. There are no chances of being subjective and tweaking the ratings.
