Hawk started off as a dream job.. I had opportunity to grow, work with a team of smart/kind digital marketers, contribute to thought leadership, and felt appreciated and valued as an employee. Unfortunately this did not last long.

There were little to no processes in place to track team bandwidth and how time was being spent across client accounts. This led to some team members having far less responsibility than others. Leadership often does not communicate to directors or the greater team. In some cases letting team members go or putting people on performance improvement plans without notifying the director of that service line/team. In these instances, I saw widespread frustration from directors or team leads due to unclear direction or lack of information from leadership. Leadership is not willing to invest in tools to help the company grow. Even when the tool would save the company money and this is formally proposed... leadership is too hesitant to take the leap and try something new. This is dangerous for a digital marketing agency in the dawn of AI. The company has really been struggling with client retention. This trend started towards the end of my time at Hawk but has continued to the point of recent layoffs due to financial struggle.
