4yHello. As a values-based, global company, we strive to create a diverse and inclusive culture at Haworth. While the definition of diversity differs around the world, we put a great deal of effort into hiring talented individuals—regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and age.
In the United States, we were recently audited by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. They carefully reviewed our hiring, promotion, and termination practices. This audit evaluated each location independently, so the demographics of our employees working in Mississippi did not influence the results of our audit in Michigan. After a thorough evaluation, the OFCCP determined that our employee population at each location properly represented the communities in which they reside.
Regardless of this outcome, we recognize that improving diversity and creating an inclusive organization is an ongoing journey, and one we cannot make without valuable feedback from of our members. We encourage them to share ideas or concerns about how we can be more welcoming with their supervisor or HR representative.
