      I was at Fentons for 3 months in the MEP - Fire Division. Unfortunately, I didn't see any pros there.

      Here's my experience at the fire division. * There is enormous pressure to collect money from clients. Even though the designation is engineer, the role heavily involves man management. * Frequent layoffs. * Incompetent management with less experience and knowledge, and significant ego issues. * The division is maintained only to provide total solutions to customers. The fire department is operating at a significant loss, so don't expect any increments. The company is in debt to vendors and subcontractors, which can delay materials for your projects. * Internal politics.

      Opportunity to work on large scale engineering and solar projects across the country.

      Some leaders may treat people differently. Very high workload and employees may get overworked. For solar projects around the country, they may use interns instead of hiring more employees. Interns may get a lot of work and responsibility. (They're putting you to very rough sites and you need to share your bed with 5 people) Sometimes there are not enough office facilities or even chairs to sit. Engineer salaries may feel lower compared to some other companies. Some ground staff may earn more than engineers.
