First, we are doing/facilitating the work of the future of healthcare. The work at Health Catalyst is so exciting. I personally can't wait to get up in the morning and make a difference each day with the clients I work with. I find the work so interesting; it is a blend of adaptive leadership, IT work in the trenches, and outcomes improvement. I have opportunities to work with data, analytics, systems, and people from various backgrounds which is enjoyable. I truly think we are transforming the healthcare system from the grassroots. I feel like I am pursuing a valuable mission and believe in the leadership team. Second, Health Catalyst benefits rock. Out of all of the places I have worked, I feel like the benefits offered here are some of the best. Healthcare prices are very low in comparison to other employers (and haven't gone up), HC contributes to team member's HSA which is helpful, and matches 401k contributions. I also enjoy the fitness benefit which allows me to purchase gym memberships for me and my family. The ability to work remotely is so awesome. I think it is also cool to offer a mentor/mentee program, I'll be taking advantage of this to grow in my skills. Also, it seems that the company is very inclusive - there are 3 affinity groups. But you don't have to be a part of the groups to feel included. Third, Health Catalyst is all about the team member experience, Dan Burton talks about this all the time, and you can really tell that he cares about the team members sincerely.

I have had different experiences on different teams within Health Catalyst. It seems that the opportunities available to go after and the team member experience depends on which team you are on and who you work with and for in the company. A good example of this is the promotion process and pay scales which are apparently standardized now but still confusing to the team members.

I also appreciate your feedback regarding the opportunity for us to improve the robustness of our training, which we're working on, and in leveraging the power of our annual HAS summit to energize our team members -- I agree strongly with your perspective, and we're working on enabling more and more team members to participate, while also being financially responsible and staying within a reasonable expense framework. Good vision and products have the potential to make an impact.

Svantaggi

No process and a very autonomous culture. No team collaboration. No one knows what other teams are doing. Trying to expand in India, but it feels like we are two different companies—and there are no opportunities to grow. Titles and compensation do not change at all.
