So much of what you share is resonant and I hope, like you, that we can realize the broadened vision you describe, and believe we can. One thing we've talked about recently as a leadership team is how we as human beings sometimes overestimate what can be accomplished in a year, but underestimate what can be accomplished in a decade. In a few days I'll celebrate my one-decade anniversary with Health Catalyst and it is remarkable to consider how far we've come in that decade, and I do feel excitement and optimism about what we can achieve in the next decade as well. It can be demanding, but seeing these systems run successfully and support real-world operations is consistently rewarding.

In practice, tenure can feel undervalued or even penalized. This creates risk around losing institutional knowledge and operational continuity. Stagnant Career Progression: Contrary to stated expectations, strong performance ratings do not consistently translate into meaningful, market-aligned compensation growth. The process of how compensation is benchmarked lacks clarity in practice, obscuring how compensation decisions are made and what is required to advance.
