Micromanagement; inconsistent application of corporate policies; Sick leave policies left up to the interpretation of individual supervisors and no clear definition of terms in the corporate policy (i.e. What, exactly, is a "routine doctor's appointment"?)
Managers with no people or leadership skills; lack of recognition or compensation for excellent job performance; managers that take credit for their subordinates ideas, work, or accomplishments.
In a nutshell, this organization needs clarification of its policies and a big move toward applying the same standards to all---not allowing each manager/department head to make up their own rules.
Finally, the entire workforce would benefit from bringing the union in to help ensure fair and equitable treatment for all, as well as to negotiate appropriate compensation packages.
