HeartFlow is overly optimistic about their commercial product and unfortunately, it is failing to gain enough traction to offset the massive overhead never mind profitability. This has resulted in more layoffs to ease the nonstop burning of venture capital. This trend will likely continue and the operation will scale down accordingly. Layoffs will buy time but it will not solve the problem. As for other issues: Management seems detached from reality, office politics are palpable, the metrics-driven case analyst system encourages self-interest and self-preservation, etc.
