I've really enjoyed my time with Hendrick. A lot of the benefits of being with a smaller company seem to be forgotten about - free healthcare (!), free parking in Midtown (!), direct access to upper management, generous bonuses, and you will actually learn from others if you want to. Those that want to learn and progress in their careers can definitely thrive.

Yes, work-life is skewed a bit towards the work side, but that is pretty standard for every A/E company I've worked for. The benefits really do outweigh the negatives. You are expected to be more well-rounded when it comes to your work (knowing all aspects of design and project management), which some may/may not be cut out for.
